In a letter to Twitter on Monday, billionaire Elon Musk warned that if the social media network does not share data on spam and bogus accounts, he may walk away from his US$44 billion bid to purchase the firm.According to the letter, Musk has the ability to dissolve the merger deal if Twitter fails to meet its responsibilities.

This is the first time that Musk has threatened to walk away from the transaction in paper rather than on Twitter.

Twitter has previously discounted Musk’s warning that the acquisition was “on pause,” saying that the data would assist him prepare for his ownership of Twitter, not to carry out due diligence and resume discussions, as Musk had previously stated.

Elon Musk had stated that the acquisition “temporarily” will be halted because of the social media company’s lack of statistics on the percentage of bogus accounts.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has questioned the integrity of Twitter’s public reports on spam accounts being fewer than 5% of its user base, and claims they must be at least 20% of the total user population.

To help him prepare for taking over Twitter and get finance for the acquisition, his attorneys said in a letter that “Musk is unquestionably entitled.”

A number of prominent investors, notably Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and Sequoia Capital, have indicated that Musk has secured finance for the acquisition.

In early trade, Twitter shares were down 5.5% at US$37.95.

A request for comment from Twitter was not immediately returned. CEO of Twitter replied to Elon Musk but in return Musk replied with a Poop emoji.

Let’s wait for the suspense to break.

WhatsApp will soon allow users to respond with any emoji, not only those six it really has set

Whatsapp

WhatsApp users will soon have the ability to react to messages with any emoji, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced in a Facebook post

Like previous emoji reactions, the feature is accessible by long-pressing the message you want to react to. This opens the menu containing the previous six emoji reactions along with a new plus icon. Tapping the plus icon opens a menu containing every available emoji, ranging from standard smiley faces to recent additions like the saluting emoji and the melting face, and it also includes different skin tone variations. I suspect people are going to get very creative with their emoji reactions very soon.

The expanded emoji reaction feature has previously been spotted in the beta versions of the service, including on both iOS and Android, and brings WhatsApp in line with the functionality already available on Meta’s Messenger service. The expanded emoji reactions feature is rolling out now and will be available to all WhatsApp users in the coming weeks.

Windows 11 22H2

Microsoft has divided the Beta Channel into two subsets and made available two preview builds of Windows 11 22H2 (22622.290 and 22621.290).

Updates to the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) have brought forth better networking capabilities and bug fixes. Mark mode and scroll marks are two of the new features included in Windows Terminal 1.5, which was also made available as a preview.

Microsoft has stated that beginning on October 1, 2022, subscribers to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will no longer receive free Xbox 360 games as part of the Games with Gold program.

It has also been rumored that the corporation is working on a slimmed-down version of Outlook for Android. The program goes by the name “Outlook Lite,” and it’s believed to have features that are comparable to the full-fledged Outlook app. To be clear, this is a scaled-down version of the standard version intended for less expensive electronics.

In addition, a preview of the revamped OneDrive app for Windows 11 has surfaced online, providing us with a first look at the new experience that is consistent with the design language already used in the desktop version of the software.

Nearly gone is Boris Johnson. Here’s who could take his place.

The race to succeed Boris Johnson as prime minister has heated up after his disastrous tenure.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is not elected by the country’s 68 million citizens, but rather is appointed by the political party that secures the most seats in parliament. The 2019 election was a resounding victory for the Conservative Party.

Legislators will vote on potential candidates to replace Johnson as Tory leader, narrowing the field to a final vote between two individuals. The new party leader will then be chosen by a postal ballot among the party’s roughly 180,000 members.

The 1922 Committee, which is comprised of legislators from the opposition party who are not on the government payroll, has established a timeline that indicates the process will take several weeks.

Tony Travers, a professor of government at the London School of Economics, told Reuters that the Conservatives would seek a leader “a bit less exciting” than Johnson.

He described them as “less exciting but competent.”

The following are the current front-runners in the race to become the next prime minister of the United Kingdom, based in part on a poll of Tory members conducted by YouGov on Wednesday:

He went on to say that he wanted everyone to have the same opportunities that his grandmother, an immigrant to the United Kingdom, had. Some Strictness This overwhelmingly pro-immigrant message might not sit well with conservatives.

After implementing a costly job retention program that prevented widespread unemployment during the Covid-19 pandemic, Sunak emerged as the frontrunner for the leadership position. But after implementing a number of unpopular economic policies and having it revealed that his wife, who is worth millions, had avoided paying her fair share of British taxes, his popularity took a nosedive.

Two prominent Cabinet members, Sunak and former Health Secretary Sajid Javid, resigned on Tuesday night.

Tom Tugendhat
Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Tom Tugendhat, 49, announced his bid for party leadership in the Daily Telegraph, promising a “fresh start” for the party.

Although the consistent Johnson critic would provide a new beginning for the Conservatives, he lacks experience in government and is thus deemed untested. He was a soldier who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Although Johnson ran for office on a platform of supporting Brexit, he voted against it.

Penny Mordaunt
According to the YouGov poll, Penny Mordaunt is the most popular of the potential candidates among Conservatives.

After only three months in office, Johnson removed her as defense secretary for endorsing Johnson’s opponent in the 2019 election, Jeremy Hunt.

Royal Navy reservist Mordaunt, now 49, returned to the Cabinet and is serving as a junior trade minister. She has been outspoken in her support for Britain’s exit from the European Union in the lead-up to the 2016 referendum.

Mordaunt has not yet formally declared her candidacy for the leadership of the Conservative Party, but she is already being called a “dark horse.”

On Thursday, as resignations poured in to try to force Johnson out of office and speculation about his future reached a fever pitch, she encouraged everyone to remain calm.

“Our institutions are strong,” she wrote on Twitter. “There will be a resolution to this. The outcome is already known.”

She was a contestant on “Splash,” a TV show in which famous people learn to scuba dive.
